Description:

Mozilla could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands caused by improper validation of user-supplied information in the InstallTrigger object and other XPInstall-related JavaScript objects. A remote attacker could supply a specially-crafted object, even raw numbers using HTML, to cause the javascript interpreter to execute arbitrary code on the targeted user's system.

Note: Netscape is also affected by this vulnerability.

For Mozilla Firefox:
Upgrade to the latest version of Mozilla Firefox (1.0.3 or later), available from the Mozilla Firefox Download Web page. See References.

For Mozilla:
Upgrade to the latest version of Mozilla Suite (1.7.7 or later), available from the Mozilla Suite Download Web page. See References.

As a workaround, ensure JavaScript is disabled.

For SUSE Linux:
