ArcInfo lockmgr and wservice format string

Description:
ArcInfo is vulnerable to a format string attack caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the lockmgr and wservice applications. If ArcStorm or the Geoprocessing server is enabled, a remote attacker could use this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
Platforms Affected:
- ESRI, ArcInfo Workstation 9.0
- Sun, Solaris 8 SPARC
Remedy:
Apply the patch for this vulnerability, available from the ArcInfo Web site. See References.
