Description:
4D WebSTAR Server V is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the Tomcat plug-in. By sending a malicious packet approximately every half second, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer to cause the server to enter in an infinite loop, resulting in a denial of service.
Platforms Affected:
- 4D, 4D WebSTAR V 5.33
- 4D, 4D WebSTAR V 5.4
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of 4d WebSTAR V (5.4.1 or 5.3.4 or later), available from the 4d WebSTAR V Web site. See References.
