Description:

SSServer is a search assistant running on Microsoft Windows and Unix-based operating systems. SSServer version 1.1 is vulnerable to cross-site scripting caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the search for field. A remote attacker could embed malicious script in the search for field in a URL request which, once the link is clicked, would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials, obtain sensitive information, or perform actions as the targeted victim.
