Description:
Golden FTP Server could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the Web server caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the GET command. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted GET request containing a "quote slash dot dot" sequences ("\..) to traverse directories and view arbitrary files on the system.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Golden FTP Server (2.60 or later), available from the Golden FTP Server Web site. See References.
