Description:

X-Cart is vulnerable to cross-site scripting caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could create a specially-crafted URL to multiple scripts, including the home.php script, the product.php script, the error_message.php script, the help.php script, the orders.php script, the register.php script, the search.php script and the giftcert.php script containing embedded code which, once the link is clicked, would be executed in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting site. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials or take actions as the victim.
