Symantec Brightmail static database password security bypass

Description:
Symantec Brightmail Anti-Spam could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions caused by a vulnerability with a static database administration password. A remote attacker could use this vulnerability to bypass security and gain administrative access to the database that contains the quarantined messages for review including specific configuration information.

Upgrade to the latest version of Symantec Brightmail (6.0.2 or later), as listed in Symantec LiveUpdate, as listed in Symantec Security Response SYM05-009. See References.
