Description:

The MIT Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) is vulnerable to a denial of service. A remote attacker could send certain valid TCP requests to cause unallocated memory to be freed, which would cause the application to crash.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of MIT Kerberos 5 (krb5-1.4.2 or later), when it becomes available from the MIT Kerberos Web site. See References.
