Kerberos KDC krb5 UDP/TCP connection heap buffer overflow
| kerberos-kdc-krb5-udp-tcp-bo (21328) |
Description:
The MIT Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC) is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow in the krb5 library. An unauthenticated remote attacker using a TCP or UDP connection could send a valid request to overflow a buffer and cause the application to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code on the system.
Note: It is reported that third-party application servers that use the MIT krb5 are also vulnerable to this vulnerability.
