Description:

SquirrelMail could allow a remote attacker to modify variables caused by a vulnerability in the options_identities.php script. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted request to the $_POST variable of the options_identites.php script to perform cross-site scripting attacks, read and possibly write to other users preferences or create files in webserver-writable locations.

Upgrade to the latest version of SquirrelMail (1.4.5 release candidate 1 or later), available from the SquirrelMail Web site. See References.
