BusinessMail Server SMTP command denial of service

Description:
BusinessMail is vulnerable to a denial of service attack caused by improper validation of user-supplied input in the SMTP HELO and MAIL FROM: commands. A remote attacker could send a command with a specially-crafted long command parameter to cause the system to crash.
Platforms Affected:
- NetcPlus, BusinessMail Server 4.60.00
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of BusinessMail Server (4.7 or later), available from the BUSINESSMAIL MAIL SERVER Web page. See References.
