Description:
nbSMTP is vulnerable to a format string attack. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system.
Platforms Affected:
- Gentoo, Linux
- nbSMTP, nbSMTP prior to 1.00
Remedy:
For Gentoo Linux:
Upgrade to the latest version of nbSMTP (1.00 or later), as listed in the GLSA 200508-03 / nbsmtp. See References.
