Description:

Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 5.5 and 6 running on Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows 98, and Windows ME could allow a remote attacker to bypass the cross-domain security model and execute script within the Local Machine security zone or another security zone or domain in Internet Explorer. Web Folder Behaviors in Internet Explorer fail to properly process certain URLs when browsing from a Web page to a Web folder using WebDAV. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a malicious Web page which would be executed in the victim's security zone, once the page is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to read any known file on the victim's computer, invoke known executables on the victim's computer, or load malicious executables to the victim's computer.
