Metasploit defanged variable bypass security

Description:
Metasploit Framework could allow an attacker to bypass specific security restrictions, caused by a vulnerability in the StateToOption() function in msfweb. The _Defanged environment variable can be overwritten with user-supplied input. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass defanged mode restrictions and execute vulnerability checks and exploits from the vulnerable system.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Metasploit Framework (2.7 or later), available from the Metasploit Framework Web site. See References.
