Linux kernel sendmsg function buffer overflow
| kernel-sendmsg-bo (22217) |
Description:
Linux kernel is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow caused by improper bounds checking in the sendmsg() function. This occurs when copying 32-bit msg_control contents from user-space to the kernel. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with kernel privileges.
