Description:

Microsoft Windows could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code, caused by a buffer overflow in the Plug and Play service. A remote attacker, who is authenticated, could supply a large amount of data to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Windows XP could allow a local attacker to exploit the vulnerability to gain elevated privileges.
