Cfengine vicf.in, cfmailfilter, and cfcron.in symlink

cfengine-mulitple-file-symlink (22489) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk

Description:

Cfengine is vulnerable to a symlink attack. Temporary files in the /tmp directory are created insecurely by the contrib/vicf.in, /bin/cfmailfilter, and /contrib/cfcron.in files. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a symbolic link from a temporary file to other files on the system, which would allow the attacker to create or overwrite arbitrary files on the system with the privileges of the victim.
