PunBB old_searches parameter SQL injection

Description:
PunBB is vulnerable to SQL injection. If register_globals is enabled and the magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, a remote attacker could send a specially-crafted search request containing a SQL statement to the search.php script using the old_searches parameter, allowing the attacker to add, modify or delete user information in the back-end database.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of PunBB (1.2.9 or later), available from the PunBB Download Web page. See References.
