PHP .htaccess denial of service

Description:
PHP is vulnerable to a denial of service. If safe_mode is enabled and a .htaccess file is in the web root directory containing a php_value session.save_path statement, a denial of service condition will occur caused by a vulnerability in the apache2handler SAPI and the sapi_apache2.c file.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of PHP (5.1.0 final or later), available from the PHP Web site. See References.
