WebCalendar multiple scripts allow SQL injection
| webcalendar-multiple-scripts-sql-injection (23369) |
Description:
WebCalendar is vulnerable to SQL injection. If the magic_quotes_gpc setting is disabled, a remote attacker could send a specially-crafted URL request to the activity_log.php script, the admin_handler.php script, the edit_template.php script or to the export_handler.php script containing SQL code in unspecified parameters to add, modify or delete data in the back-end database.
Platforms Affected:
- Debian, Debian Linux 3.1
- SourceForge, WebCalendar 1.0.1
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of WebCalendar (version 1.0.2 or later) when it is available from the WebCalendar Download Web page or to the current CVS available from the WebCalendar Web site. See References.
For Debian GNU/Linux:
Refer to DSA-1002-1 for patch, upgrade, or suggested workaround information. See References.
Consequences:
Data Manipulation
