| ie-dialog-box-code-execution (23448) |
Description:
Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 5.5 and 6 running on Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows Me could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a vulnerability in the way Internet Explorer handles download dialog boxes and user input in a Web page. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting a malicious Web site and persuading the victim to visit Web site. Once the victim visits the malicious site, the attacker could execute arbitrary code and take complete control of the affected system, if the victim were to interact with the site via certain keystrokes or mouse clicks.
