Description:

dhistools-dns is a set of tools for use in DHIS (Dynamic Host Information System) servers. dhistools-dns version 5.0 could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a symbolic link from a temporary file to other files on the system, which would allow the attacker to create or overwrite arbitrary files on the system with the privileges of the user running one of the affected scripts.
