Microsoft Windows embedded Open Type Web font buffer overflow
| win-embedded-fonts-bo (23922) |
Description:
Microsoft Windows could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a heap-based buffer overflow in T2EMBED.DLL when handling specially-crafted embedded Open Type fonts. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by embedding Open Type fonts on a malicious Web page, and persuading a potential victim to visit the page, or sending a malicious HTML email containing embedded Open Type fonts to a potential victim. Once the victim visits the Web page or views the email, the attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code to gain complete control of the victim's system.
