Description:

Eudora Internet Mail Server (EIMS) is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted NTLM authentication request to cause the server to crash.

  • Qualcomm, EIMS Server prior to 3.2.8
  • Qualcomm, EIMS Server X prior to 3.2.8

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of EIMS (3.2.8 or later), available from the Eudora Web site. See References.
