bogofilter flex input long word buffer overflow
| bogofilter-long-word-bo (24119) |
Description:
bogofilter is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking flex's input buffer. By creating a malicious email containing a word with length greater than 16,384 bytes, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the application to crash and possibly execute arbitrary code on the system, once bogofilter processes the malicious email.
