Linux kernel af_netlink.c denial of service
| kernel-afnetlink-dos (24202) |
Description:
Linux kernel is vulnerable to a denial of service caused by a vulnerability in af_netlink.c. A local attacker could set the nlmsg_len field to 0 to cause an infinite loop in the netlink_rcv_skb() function, resulting in a denial of service.
Consequences:
Denial of Service
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest stable version of Linux Kernel (2.6.15.1 or later), available from The Linux Kernel Archives. See References.
