Description:

CRE (Chain Reaction Edition) could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system caused by a vulnerabiltity in the HTMLArea package. The /admin/htmlarea/popups/file/files.php script is accessible without authentication. A remote attacker could use this script to upload malicious PHP files and execute arbitrary code on the system.

  • Chain Reaction Web, CRE Loaded 6.15 and prior

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of CRE Loaded (6.2 or later), available from the CRE Loaded Web site. See References.
