Perl Mail::Audit module temporary file symlink
| perl-mail-audit-symlink (24380) |
Description:
Mail::Audit (libmail-audit-perl) could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack. If logging is enabled, the audit.pm script creates temporary files insecurely. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a symbolic link from a temporary file to other files on the system, which would allow the attacker to create or overwrite arbitrary files on the system with the privileges of the user running the affected Perl script that is linked to the Mail::Audit module.
