MyBB usercp2.php cross-site scripting
| mybb-usercp2-xss (24392) |
Description:
Xpdf is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow in the splash/splash.cc file, which is used to process splash images. By creating a malicious PDF file containing a specially-crafted splash image, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code on the system with privileges of the Xpdf process. Exploitation of this vulnerability would require the attacker to deliver the malicious PDF file to a potential victim, either by hosting the file on a Web site or sending it to the victim as an email attachment, and then the victim would have to open the file using Xpdf or an application linked to Xpd.
