Fcron convert-fcrontab syslog() buffer overflow
| fcron-syslog-bo (24444) |
Description:
Fcron is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the syslog() function of convert-fcrontab. By calling a program with an overly long argument, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the system to crash or possibly execute arbitrary code on the system.
