Description:

phpBB is vulnerable to cross-site scripting and cross-site request forgery, caused by the session ID being included in the Referer HTTP Header. If remote avatars is enabled, which is not the default setting, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the Referer HTTP Header to execute script in the victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
