Description:

phphd is vulnerable to SQL injection. If gpc_magic_quotes is off, a remote attacker could send specially-crafted SQL statements to the check.php script using the $HTTP_POST_VARS[username] variable, which could allow the attacker to bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access to the application.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of phphg (1.5 or later), available from the phphg Web site. See References.
