MPlayer new_demux_packet() and demux_asf_read_packet() integer overflow

mplayer-asf-integer-overflow (24531) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

MPlayer is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by integer overflows in the new_demux_packet() and demux_asf_read_packet() functions. By creating a malicious .asf file with an overly long packet length field, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system, once the malicious .asf file is opened.
