PHP-Fusion comments_include.php and shoutbox_panel.php cross-site scripting
| phpfusion-multiple-xss (24548) |
Description:
PHP-Fusion is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the includes/comments_include.php script and the infusions/shoutbox_panel/shoutbox_panel.php script. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the comment_name or shout_name variable to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
