Sendmail signal handler timeout race condition
| smtp-timeout-bo (24584) |
Description:
Sendmail could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by a signal race vulnerability in the processing of mail data received from remote clients. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious mail data to the Sendmail SMTP server at certain time intervals, which could result in integer overflows that could allow the attacker to gain complete control of the affected system.
