Description:

The RIM BlackBerry Attachment Service component of BlackBerry Enterprise Server is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper handling of malformed Microsoft Word documents. By creating a malicious Word document, and sending it to a BlackBerry handheld device user as an email attachment, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the BlackBerry Attachment Service to crash.
