Description:
Dovecot is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially-crafted APPEND command to cause the server to crash.

- Dovecot, Dovecot prior to 1.0 beta3
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Dovecot (1.0 beta 3 or later), available from the Dovecot Web site. See References.
