Mantis manage_user_page.php SQL injection
| mantis-manageuserpagesql-injection (24726) |
Description:
Mantis is vulnerable to SQL injection. A remote attacker could send specially-crafted SQL statements to the /manage_user_page.php script using the 'sort' parameter, which will cause the malicious data to be saved into the "MANTIS_MANAGE_COOKIE". The SQL injection is not exploitable but the malicious data will display as a MySQL database error each time the page is loaded, resulting in a temporary site defacement.

- CVE-2006-0840: manage_user_page.php in Mantis 1.00rc4 and earlier does not properly handle a sort parameter containing a ' (quote) character, which allows remote attackers to trigger a SQL error that may be repeatedly reported to a user who makes subsequent web accesses with the MANTIS_MANAGE_COOKIE cookie. NOTE: this issue might be the same as vector 2 in CVE-2005-4519.
