Description:
Netcool/NeuSecure is a security information management (SIM) platform to assist in security operations and information risk management. The NS password is stored in plaintext in the ns_archiver.log, which is accessible by unprivileged users. Passwords are stored in plaintext in the configuration files /etc/neusecure.conf file. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain full administrative access to the backend database.
