Description:

Simple Machines Forum (SMF) is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the Sources/Register.php script. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the 'X-Forwarded-For' header to execute script in an administrator's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
