Description:

DirectContact could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the server. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted HTTP request containing "dot dot slash" sequences (../) or "dot dot backslash" sequences (..\) to traverse directories and view arbitrary files outside of the Web root directory.

Platforms Affected:

  • Lionel Reyero, DirectContact 0.3b and prior

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of DirectContact (0.3c or later), available from the DirectContact Web site. See References.
