Description:

phpBannerExchange is vulnerable to directory traversal. A remote attacker could send specially-crafted requests containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) to the resetpw.php script to traverse directories on the web server and obtain sensitive user information.

  • Eschew, phpBannerExchange 2.0 and prior

Upgrade to the latest version of phpBannerExchange, available from the phpBannerExchange Web site. See References.
