Description:

log4net is vulnerable to a denial of service caused by an undisclosed vulnerability in the LocalSyslogAppender. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a memory corruption in an application that uses LocalSyslogAppender and may cause the application to crash.

  • Apache, Log4net 1.2.9

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of log4net (1.2.10 or later), available from the log4net Web site. See references.
