Description:

Microsoft Excel is vulnerable to a buffer overflow. A remote attacker could create a malicious Excel file that uses a malformed graphic and host it on a Web site or send it to a potential victim as an email attachment. When the file is opened, the attacker could overflow a buffer and possibly execute arbitrary code on the system with privileges of the victim.
