Description:

avast! Antivirus could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges. Insecure default permissions are assigned to all files in the avast! program directory during installation. This could allow an attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system by replacing the avast! system service file with a trojan, which would be executed with SYSTEM privileges when the system is rebooted or the service is restarted.

Note: The TEMP directory must be in the same directory as the installation directory for successful exploitation.
