Description:
snmptrapfmt could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack. The temporary log file is created insecurely, which could allow an attacker to use symbolic links to overwrite arbitrary files on the system.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of snmptrapfmt (1.08sarge1 or later), as listed in DSA-1013-1. See References.
