X7 Chat avatar cross-site scripting

X7 Chat is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input saved to the avatar field. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, allowing the attacker to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
Upgrade to the latest version of X7 Chat (2.0.4 or later), available from the X7 Chat Web site. See References.
