Linux kernel SCTP HB-ACK handling denial of service
| linux-sctp-hback-dos (26584) |
Description:
The Linux kernel Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) module could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, caused by a buffer overflow vulnerability when handling HB-ACK chunks. By sending a specially-crafted HB-ACK packet, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the system to crash.
