Mozilla Thunderbird and SeaMonkey VCard double-free memory corruption

mozilla-vcard-doublefree-memory-corruption (26850) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla SeaMonkey could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by a double-free memory corruption vulnerability when processing specially-crafted VCards. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a malicious VCard containing invalid base64 encoded characters, which would allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the victim's system, once the malicious VCard is opened.
