Description:

Geeklog is vulnerable to SQL injection. If magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, a remote attacker could send specially-crafted SQL statements to the admin/auth.inc.php or system/lib-security.php script using the 'loginname' parameter or malformed parameters in the story submission process, which could allow the attacker to view, add, modify, or delete information in the back-end database.

  • Geeklog, Geeklog prior to 1.4.0sr3

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Geeklog (1.4.0sr3 or 1.3.11sr6), available from the Geeklog Web site. See References.
